The 1969 Riviera was Buick's second-generation personal-luxury coupe (1966-1970), carried over with revised interior and exterior trim. It competed with the Ford Thunderbird and Cadillac Eldorado; the dramatic boat-tail styling would not arrive until the third generation in 1971.
